Well, now it is done. Turned out pretty good. She keeps things up at this pace, she is going to be better than me soon.
She did putty the a lot of the seams, not as anal about it as I am yet, but she is getting the idea. She really liked using the MagicSculp.
Also did a good job of using washes and drybrushing.
She scored another Merit award at Wonderfest with this model!

This is Britny's 6th model. I got this one for her birthday. I knew she would like it, she tried to take the one I have for myself. She is the other Godzilla fan in the house. We saw the US Godzilla on opening day together ( she loved it, I thought it was a good movie, just not a good Godzilla movie). We also saw G2000 together.

She is starting to get a little more critical of some of these models. The pictures above are just snapped together. She already said she is going to need to glue it to get a better fit. She also asked if I have something a little stronger to hold it together while it dries. She doesn't think that rubber bands are going to do the job. I think we will end up using some small C-clamps to do the job.

I suggested maybe using a little putty to help with the gaps as well. (Hey, might as well expose her to all the options out there :-). She seemed receptive to the idea, although she did say she wasn't going to go overboard like I do.

I had heard that the seams on this kit were a killer, but I didn't think they were going to be this bad (see the bottom picture to get a good idea of how bad they actually are). I still like the model. It has some very nice detail, and has a lot of potential. I think it will make a nice subject for a "How To" article on putty when I get around to doing mine.
